A brief reality check.
Have you ever missed someone without actually missing them?
I think that we are just trying to convince ourselves that we do miss their personalities and qualities and actions when in reality we only long for their company. We simply got so used to having them around and having their attention on us that we feel that there is something missing, but deep down we know that we don't actually need them to fill that space. I think we also feel guilty because of how truth this is, that we don't really miss them, that we try to convince ourselves of the contrary and avoid facing the selfish reality that it is our loneliness that we hate.
